Infection Protocols are followed at ALPHA THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE THERAPY. The government has now lifted COVID specific procedures, I am still using them in my Practice, against all infectious diseases. My system is only set up to book 1 hour appointments, so if you wish a longer or shorter one, book the space you want for 1 hour, and contact me to adjust it (By email, text or phone) You will receive an online reminder email 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, with an opportunity to confirm that you are coming. THERE IS A 24 hour CANCELLATION POLICY for appointments you are unable to make. If you contact me (Email, phone or text) more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, you will not be charged. If I am able to fill the appointment, without the required 24 hours notice, you again, will not be charged for the missed appointment....please give me as much time as possible to see if someone waiting can fill the slot. The charge for a missed appointment is the full cost of the scheduled appointment with HST. MASKS and other PPE: I am no longer REQUESTING that everyone continue to wear a mask in my office, including during the massage, unless there is an uptick in infectious diseases that will potentially put the health system at risk. You, of course, are welcome to still wear one at your own discretion. I am happy to provide one, if having one with you is now not a common thing, and you accidentally arrive at my office without one. As an ongoing precaution, I will absolutely be wearing at least one mask for every massage moving forward. During Cold and Flu season, I may wear two. I will also continue to wear goggles to reduce the chance that I will pick up an infection from a patient and transfer it to a subsequent patient. The gowns are likely to make a reappearance when Cold and Flu season arrives. I have always worn gloves. That had nothing to do with infectious protocols, but is because my skin becomes irritated when I expose it to too many different contacts in a day. That has been the case for more than 25 years now. CLEANING PROCEDURES: I will continue to clean not only the table with disinfectant, but the touchable parts of the office, with bleach between patients. During Cold and Flu season I will again become more extreme with the process, as both are also transferred through droplet contact, and droplets can travel a fair distance during a sneeze, cough, or animated conversation, and those droplets can last to infect an unwary toucher for a very long time post arrival. I will also ask that if you believe you are infected with some kind of contagious malady, that you cancel your appointment, in an abundance of caution for not only myself, but also other patients who follow you into the office. (there is no charge for cancelling short notice, if you are sick) VENTILATION: I will continue to ventilate the office year round. It is primarily a precaution against airborne transmissible diseases, as it will not impact droplets that land on surfaces, but just the same, there are actually many diseases that can be transmitted through aerosol particles.
